Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Incorporated, Alpha Rho Chapter began fulfilling a vision fair over 65 years ago with 19 outstanding, highly intelligent, and beautiful young women on the campus of AM&N College (now University of Arkansas at Pine Bluff).
The Alpha Rho Chapter was the first undergraduate chapter established by the Delta Omega Omega Graduate Chapter on May 19, 1951. Soror Lillian Mazique, a member of the Delta Omega Omega Chapter, served as the chapter’s first Graduate Advisor.
